What I Do

It is my responsibility to get prospective students and families excited about Texas A&M University. I, along with my team, create a warm and welcoming environment to guests we host on campus. If you visit the Appelt Aggieland Visitor Center, I guarantee you will be greeted with a smile and a “howdy.”

My Texas A&M Story

I am originally from Michigan, a graduate of Western Michigan University, with both an undergraduate and graduate degree. I joined the Aggie family in spring 2012, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made so far. I started as a regional advisor in the Texas A&M Dallas-Fort Worth Prospective Student Center and fell in love with the culture, traditions, opportunities and networks at Texas A&M University. Some may ask how I can recruit or oversee visitor services for a university I didn’t attend. It’s because I believe in the quality of education and the core values for which Texas A&M is known. When I first arrived to Texas, I didn’t have family here. I was oblivious to the fact that I was joining a family of Aggies and that they would indeed take me in. I have my own testimony, and in my daily engagement with visitors, I get to share it with people from all over the United States. I proudly wear maroon and am excited about telling others about such a wonderful institution of higher education.
