Shane Hinckley

VP of Brand Development

Shane is responsible for the strategic growth of the Texas A&M brand through both marketing and business development enterprises. He has more than 25 years of retail and business experience with a focus in marketing, advertising, operations and human resources.

In his prior role as Interim Vice President of Marketing & Communications, Shane launched Texas A&M’s first ever national reputation campaign and oversaw strategic communication efforts on its historic $4 billion comprehensive fundraising campaign. He successfully elevated Texas A&M’s brand at retail during the transition to the Southeastern Conference in 2012, which resulted in Texas A&M being named the Synergy Program of the Year by the International Collegiate Licensing Association.

Prior to joining Texas A&M, Shane served as the Director of Marketing & Licensing at the University of Utah, where he directed the licensing program and oversaw daily operations of the university bookstore on campus.

A graduate of Utah State University, Shane holds an undergraduate degree in political science and a graduate degree in human resource management. He is the author of the University of Utah Football Vault, which chronicles the history of the Utah football program from its inception.
