April 18, 2025 Marketing and Communications Updates

Howdy,

Thank you so much for your enthusiastic participation in our two-day workshop for the launch of our new brand platform. Your engagement, insightful questions and collaborative spirit made the event a resounding success. We truly appreciate you taking the time to be a part of this pivotal moment.

As a key reminder, the brand strategy is not a tagline. It’s much bigger than that, requiring great understanding, embrace and deep work for the months, and years, to come. The brand strategy is a blueprint for our desired brand experience and brand story. It’s a resource for anyone who communicates on behalf of Texas A&M University. It is a set of frameworks and tools, with a rigorous marketing research underpinning, specifically for building consistent and captivating marketing and communications, with core ideas, offers and beliefs that help convey what’s most compelling about Texas A&M externally.

As promised, we want to share some key resources and next steps to help you confidently understand, embrace and share Texas A&M University’s new brand platform.

Upcoming Workshops and Roadmap

Summer Workshop Series

We’ll be hosting a series of shorter, focused workshops throughout the summer to delve deeper into specific aspects of the new brand platform and its implementation. Each session will be identical and you may choose to attend either date. Attendance is not required but highly encouraged. Official times and locations will be announced at a later date.

  • Mark your calendars for workshops on the following dates:
    • June 10, July 10

Fall Roadmap

Looking ahead to the fall, our roadmap includes photo and b-roll drops, creative template releases and updates, and more, all of which will be announced in a biweekly cadence of our MarComm community emails. Here is a link to our Fall Roadmap. In line with the presentation at our workshop, we are asking all of you to be in character by Sept. 1.

We are incredibly excited to embark on this new chapter together and look forward to telling the story of Texas A&M to the state, the nation and beyond together. Your contributions are invaluable as we build out this brand platform and share Texas A&M’s impact.

Feedback

We know that a lot of new information was shared at the brand platform launch. Please take some time to process this information and discuss it with your teams and those you work with. We would love your feedback on the things you need to better get in character and the ongoing resources needed to maintain those efforts.

By the end of April, please submit your feedback by visiting tx.ag/BPLfeedback.
