May 2, 2025 Marketing and Communications Update

Howdy,

We hope you found the initial resources shared in the previous newsletter helpful as you continue to process and explore the new brand platform. Building on the energy from the brand platform launch, we’re committed to supporting you every step of the way. As we all work toward embedding this strategy into our communications, this update provides you with more resources and opportunities for additional feedback so that we can better assist you in your efforts.

Each session will be identical, and you may choose to attend either date. Attendance is not required but highly encouraged. Workshops will be held on June 10 and July 10 in Rudder Tower, Room 601. These will be all-day events, with lunch provided.

Fall Ready Roadmap

Looking ahead to the fall 2025 semester, our roadmap includes photo and b-roll drops, creative template updates and new releases, and more, all of which will be announced in this biweekly MarComm community email. A more comprehensive plan for this rollout will be shared later this month. In line with the presentation at our brand platform launch in April, we are asking all of you to be in character by Sept. 1.

Photo Styles

Over the summer, the Visual Media team within the Division of Marketing and Communications will be conducting stock photo shoots to boost the number of photos that you have access to. These photo shoots will focus on the four photographic styles presented during the brand platform launch. If you need a refresher, please review slide 161 in the brand platform launch presentation deck to see how these styles are brought to life.

While we capture more photos in these styles, we would like to know what styles you need and would like to see prioritized. You may submit your feedback by submitting the online form.

Templates

Need to create flyers, presentations or other materials that align with the Texas A&M brand? Our Creative team has provided an abundant collection of ready-to-use templates to help you get started quickly and ensure brand consistency.

You can find the current selection of templates on the MarComm website

Please note: We are planning to review and update these templates over the summer. Stay tuned for refreshed designs and new additions later this year! In the meantime, feel free to utilize the existing resources.

Feedback

We hope that you have taken some time to discuss the brand platform with your teams and those you work with. We would love your feedback on the things you need to better get in character and the ongoing resources needed to maintain those efforts.

Please provide your feedback by completing the online form.

Stay Connected

Fellow staff across the university currently serving in a marketing and communications role automatically receive this communication. If you know of a colleague serving in a different capacity that would benefit from receiving our biweekly email updates, please invite them to provide their name, email and the area they support to be added to the distribution list.

We are incredibly excited to embark on this new chapter together and look forward to telling the story of Texas A&M to the state, the nation and beyond – together. Your contributions are invaluable as we build out this brand platform and share Texas A&M’s impact.

We are thrilled to have you on this journey with us!
