DICK'S Sporting Goods Event

Texas A&M University and its licensing agency, CLC, worked with DICK'S Sporting Goods to significantly increase the amount of Aggie merchandise in The Woodlands Mall. In celebration of the expanded product offering and the beginning of football season, Texas A&M, CLC and adidas brought a piece of Aggieland to The Woodlands. Aggie fans were able to experience what it’s like to suit up in Aggie football gear and run onto Kyle Field in front of the 12th Man. Fans were given short videos of themselves running through the tunnel to share on social media. They also had an opportunity to meet the Yell Leaders and open lockers that included prizes such as adidas products, DICK'S Sporting Goods gift cards, signed Aggie memorabilia and Texas A&M football tickets.

Result: The event drew 255 total attendees and produced 169 videos. Content surrounding the event received 1,841,402 social media impressions and over 1,400 views of the article in Texas A&M Today. DICK'S Sporting Goods reported a sales increase of 732 percent during the event weekend compared to the previous year.
